‘Murasaki kiyohime’
A slow, horizontal growing, dwarf Japanese maple maturing at 4 feet high and 9 feet wide after many years. Green leaves edged with red in spring and yellow fall colors on a very small leaf. One of the best forms for bonsai. Can tolerate 1-2 hours of sun. Likes consistent moisture and good drainage.
Spring growth on ‘Murasaki kiyohime’ is a bright green with a distinct, red border.
Summer color is a nice mid-green, and the habit is quite dense, growing horizontally without weeping .
