‘Shaina’

A vigorous, heat tolerant, dwarf Japanese maple maturing at 5 feet high and 4 feet wide. Brilliant red leaves in spring change to maroon and then a new bright red flush of new growth in May give it a two-tone effect. Fall color is bright red. Can tolerate 1-2 hours of sun. Likes consistent summer moisture but not soggy wet.

Spring growth on ‘Shaina’ is a bright pink-red, darkening to bronze-purple, before going green by late summer, only to return to red in the fall.
