‘Skeeter’s Broom’

This red-leaved dwarf Japanese maple, possibly a witches broom from ‘ Bloodgood’, but with more deeply cut lobes and small leaves, maturing at 6-8 feet tall and wide. Brilliant red leaves in spring change to purple-red and hold their color all summer, even in hot climates. Fall color is bright red. Can tolerate 1-2 hours of sun. Likes consistent moisture and good drainage.
